Q: Why do I see the ministers sometimes lay there hands on people and anoint them with oil?
A: The bible commands the Elders of the church to anoint and lay hands on the sick and pray the prayer of faith that God would heal them. Throughout the Bible God has also used the laying on of hands to manifest healing, impart power, and stir up spiritual gifts. We believe in the perpetual and continuing value of all Spiritual Gifts for the edification of the body of Christ until the end of this church age, which will be consummated by the Rapture of the church and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 8:3; Matt. 8:15; Matt. 9:18; Mark 5:23; Mark 16:15-18; Acts 8:17-18; Acts 9:10-19; 1 Tim. 4:14; 1 Tim. 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6; Heb. 6:2; Gen. 48:13-20; Acts 14:3; Acts 19:11; Num. 27:18-23; 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 1 Cor. 13:8-13).
Q: What do you believe about Women in Ministry?
A: We hold to the belief, based on the clear teaching of Scripture, that God calls both Men and Women into all capacities of ministry. Study very carefully the Old Testament examples of Deborah (Judg. 4:4-5), Miriam (Ex. 15:21; Micah 6:4); Huldah (2 Kings 22:14-20), Noadiah (Neh. 6:14), and the New Testament examples of Anna (Luke 2:36-38), Phillips Daughters (Acts 21:9), Priscilla (Acts 18:26), Pheobe (Romans 16:1-2), as well as Lois and Eunice (2 Tim. 1:5).
Q: What do you believe about Tithing?
A: We believe and teach the biblical principle of the tithe. We believe that all believers are commanded to give at least 10% (tithe) of their gross income to the local church of which they are a member. We also teach that the tithe is a minimum requirement that each believer should seek to exceed as God prospers and gives increase! (2 Cor. 9:6-7; Mal. 3:8-10)
